BEAT SWAPMEET 7.11.2010

Of course BP & ODDS will be in the place: BP selling records and tapes, and ODDS hosting downstairs. Also, tune in to Breakbeats and Rhymes Radio on 90.7 FM KPFK 2am - 4am, late Saturday night July 3rd (technically early July 4th) and catch BSM on air with record-giveaways. We'll see you next Sunday.

free for everyone as long as you bring a canned good.

Home Before Any Place is a seasonal canned food drive presented by Beat Swapmeet and as the flier states, calls out to LA for help in feeding our brothers and sisters in this beautiful city.

buttonpusha got the BOOM

You know Buttonpusha as the Producer/DJ half of BP & ODDS and with that we know comes mad records from hours and hours of years of diggin. What most of yall don't know is that he's also a collector of boom-boxes. So when you hear songs like "Ultra-Magnetics" highlighting the era, you know it's coming from true experience. Peep the photos of Bobby Quevedo (Beat Swapmeet vendor) and Buttonpusha's boombox collection displayed at Boombox (Grand Star).

these boxes wouldn't be as fun without these:

BP & ODDS on Proper Audio Radio (photos)

Big up Dubs One and DJ Effechto for having us on Proper Audio Radio. After watching the Lakers take game 7, BP & ODDS headed northbound from the beach to the westside where Dubs One resides. This cat's a true Long Beach Hip Hop rep, who's been putting it down on the turntables for a long time. So we were honored to head up to the show and chop it up with the good folks. Turntable Addicts were in EFFECT mode as the homie Endo slid through to kick it too. Here's some dope photos by Dubs One of how it went down. Remember to tune in to Proper Audio Radio every Thursday 8pm-12am on offtherecordmixshow.com
